Debra was born June 3, 1958 in Harper, Kansas to Dan and Donna Smithhisler. On August 29, 2018 she passed away at St. Luke's Hospital in Overland Park, Kansas at the age of 60 years, 2 months, and 26 days.  She was preceded in death by her father Dan.

The second eldest of ten children, she graduated from Chaparral High School Class of 1976. Growing up Debra enjoyed working at Bob's Drive-In, Calvert's Department Store and Sheraton Inn Wichita, Kansas to name a few.  Debra was an outstanding Domestic Engineer, Gardener, Writer, and talented Videographer; who documented many special family moments and gatherings, producing videos we will all cherish forever.  Debra was a devoted wife and mother, a very thoughtful daughter, sister, aunt and a super special grammy.

Debra will be deeply missed by her mother, Donna Smithhisler; daughter Miranda Gevedon (Matt); siblings: Danny, Deanna, Darla (Marc), David, Dennis, Darren, Damian (Katie), Donica (Kerry), Dustin (Teresa); granddaughters, Hayden and Hazel; 13 nieces and nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Cremation has taken place and the family has chosen to hold private services.
