Charles M. Turrentine was born August 16, 1929 in Anthony, Kansas, son of Charles James and Pearl June (Turner) Turrentine. After graduating high school, Charlie received his degree in Mechanical Engineering from Oklahoma A&M (now Oklahoma State University.)
Charlie spent most of his career with General Dynamics/Lockhead Martin in Fort Worth, Texas as an Engineer. He loved flying planes and served his country honorably in the United States Army.
After retiring, Charlie continued to live in Ft. Worth until he moved to Wichita, Kansas in 2012 to be near his family. On October 21, 2017, Charlie passed away at Park West Plaza in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 88 years. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters, Barbara and Joyce.
Charlie will be deeply missed by his nephews and nieces including: Charlie Laing, Judy Colglazier, Susan Stevens, Debbie Smith, John Doyle, Jeff Doyle and their spouses and children.
Charlie was privately laid to rest with his parents at the Forest Park Cemetery in Anthony, Kansas.
