Cathy Janell (Robinson) Palermo passed away peacefully in her home, with husband Chris by her side on October 12, 2022 after a 12 year battle with Dementia.

Cathy was born on March 2, 1951 to Jack & Nellie Robinson in Anthony, KS. She was preceded in death by both of her parents and is survived by her husband Chris Palermo of Anthony, KS, brother Gary Robinson and wife Debbie of Harper, KS, brother Dennis Robinson of Colwich, KS, sister Laquita Smith and husband Chuck of Chehalis, WA and several nieces, nephews and cousins who will dearly miss her.

Cathy graduated from Anthony High School in 1969.  After high school she attended and graduated from Hutchinson Beauty College.  Cathy had a successful career in Cosmetology in the Topeka and Lawrence area before moving to Denver, CO in 1980 where she continued in Cosmetology for another 10 years.   She went back to school, changing careers and started working in Risk Management for AT&T and eventually transferred to Travelers Insurance where she retired in 2010.

Cathy found the love of her life when she met Chris Palermo in 2003.  They loved to participate in Chili Cookoffs, BBQ outings, and camping with friends.  Cathy loved to dance and always had a smile or a laugh for those around her.  She was an amazing aunt to her nieces and nephews and was loved by all who knew her.  She was the big sister that her siblings all looked up to and she will be dearly missed.

The family will be holding a celebration of life for Cathy from noon to 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Westview Lodge in Harper, Kansas.

Memorials in memory of Cathy may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital and can be sent in care of Prairie Rose Funeral Home, 602 E. Main St., Anthony, KS 67003.
