Carol Sue (Huddleston) Barry was born November 6, 1949 in Kansas City, MO, daughter of Wayne and Clara Bernice (Bradley) Huddleston.  She was raised in Anthony, KS with her older brother Larry.

Carol married Mel Barry in Manhattan, KS in 1971.  This union was blessed with three children:  Jared, Amanda, and Carissa.

They moved to Kansas City in 1981. Carol stayed home to raise the kids while they were young and then worked in the Raytown school district for many years. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in 2000 and worked for Sprint in Human Resources until she retired.

She was passionate about animals and loved gardening, arts and crafts, painting, sewing, photography, crocheting, and especially her granddaughters. She enjoyed doing art projects and baking with the girls. Carol loved to travel and visited the US and British Virgin Islands, Turks and Caicos, Grand Cayman, Italy, and numerous national parks.

Carol passed away on Monday, November 22, 2021 at her home in Imperial, Missouri at the age of 72.  She was preceded in death by her parents.

Carol was the beloved mother to Jared Barry, Amanda (Tom) Blume and Carissa Barry; proud grandmother of Talen, Madalynn, Elizabeth "Ellie", Emma, and Laney; sister of Larry Huddleston; dear niece, aunt, cousin and friend.

Celebration of Life will be held 1:00 p.m. Sunday, December 5th at Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Anthony, Kansas. The family will greet friends until 3 p.m. following the memorial service.
