Bula M. Maples was born June 13, 1931 in Harper, Kansas, daughter of Tommie and Heartha (Osborn) Allender.  She passed away October 26, 2023 in Halstead, Kansas at the age of 92.

Bula will be deeply missed by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Dale Ast; grandchildren Monica Chavez and Tyson Ast; great-grandchildren: Cora and CJ Chavez; siblings: Melvin and Doris Allender, Dwyne and Pat Allender, and JoAnn Cantrell; and a host of other relatives.  She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings: Darrel Allender and Irene Patterson.

Bula chose to be privately laid to rest with her parents in the Forest Park Cemetery in Anthony.  No services will be held.
