Obituary

Bryan Scott Bergman was born on September 6, 1980 in Anthony, Kansas, the youngest son of Jimmy Leo and Cheryl Ann (Hodson) Bergman.  Bryan attended grade school in Anthony and then graduated from Chaparral High School with the class of 1999.  Bryan started wrestling in peewee wrestling and continued through all four years of high school.  He also enjoyed playing football from grade school on.

On July 31, 1999, Bryan was united in marriage with Amy Ord in Argonia Kansas.  They made their home in rural Harper, Kansas and were blessed with two sons, Branndon and Ethan.  Bryan was the best father and spent a lot of time with the boys, sharing his love for and teaching them about the outdoors.

The typical farmer, Bryan loved to work.  He enjoyed fishing, camping, looking for antlers, riding 4-wheelers, and walking the creek.  Most importantly being able to do all that with his family.  Bryan loved looking for flint, you couldn't keep him at home after a good rain!  He couldn't wait to come home and write down what he found that day and where he found it.  His sons joined him for years in these endeavors and then Bryan kept these traditions going with his grandchildren, the apples of his eye.  Bryan enjoyed watching the Denver Broncos play every season.

Bryan passed away at the age of 44 on December 13, 2024.  He was preceded in death by his mother, Cheryl; paternal grandparents, Pat and Marland Bergman; and maternal grandfather, Frank Hodson.  He is survived by his son, Branndon Bergman of Harper and Ethan Bergman (Mida LeFort) of Anthony; father, Jim Bergman (Jenny) of Anthony; significant other, Tabatha Haws of Harper; brothers, Kirk Bergman (Julie Rogers) of Harper and Brady Bergman (Candi) of Mount Hope, Kansas; grandchildren, Oaklynn and Branton Bergman of Goddard, Kansas; and grandmother, Mary Jo Hodson of Spearfish, South Dakota; nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.  Bryan was loved and will be missed by many.
