Brenda Kay Staley, aged 65, passed away peacefully on November 11th, 2024, with her children Jamie, Kenny and Erin by her side.

Brenda was born on July 18, 1959 in Anthony, KS to David and Mary Helen Mckaig. She graduated Chaparral High school in 1976. She later attended Wichita State University, as a single mother, and graduated in 2000 with a Bachelor of Arts degree. From there she went to work at AbilityPoint as a Targeted Case Manager. There she had a big impact on the intellectually disabled community. She didn't like notoriety or recognition, but was adored by her clients, friends, family, and anyone blessed enough to had known her.

Brenda was preceded in death by her father, David Mckaig and her son James Dayton Jr. She is survived by her husband of 22 years, Nathan Staley; Her children Jamie Dayton, Kenny Hodson (Jessie), and Erin Rhoades; stepchildren Ryan Staley, Gabriel Staley (Jenni), and Donald Staley; grandchildren, Donovan, Giovoni, Zaviyen, Illyana, Amarien, Jaylenn, Miley, Mason, Marisa, Jace and Jewel; great-grandchildren Alex and Phoenix. As well as her beautiful mother Mary Helen Mckaig.

Brenda was a very strong woman. She had a beautiful soul, that in us will never die. It has already proven that it will continue to bring us together, again and again.

Her family will be having a celebration of life at a later date, so that her beautiful life can be celebrated with the awakening of spring and all its beauty.
