Bradley Gene Imel was born February 13, 1963 in Wichita, Kansas, son of Bobby Imel and Patsy Payne.  His family made their home in Anthony, Kansas where he graduated from Chaparral High School with the Class of 1981.  He furthered his education attending trade school in Beloit, Kansas, studying carpentry and brick laying.

Brad married Diana Jones and they were blessed with two daughters, Tia and Heather.  They lived in Colorado and Kentucky.

In 1994, Brad returned to Anthony.  He soon after met the love of his life, Secret Campbell.  They were married on May 6, 1995, and Brad gained three more daughters, Ashley, Joy, and Robbyn.

Brad worked for Harper County and for many years at the Anthony Coop.  He made lasting impressions on his customers, always making sure they were given top service, especially his "little old ladies."  He was a perfectionist and it definitely showed in his work.

Brad was a kind, patient, and gentle man.  He was easily liked by all who met him.  Always willing to help anyone in need, his motto was people shouldn't have to ask you for help, you should just help them.  His caring ways will be remembered by all.

Brad was a devoted husband and loving dad.  He and Secret recently celebrated their 25th Anniversary.  His five girls remember his love of spending time at the lake, teaching them all to fish, camp, boat, and ride jet skis.

Brad had a great sense of humor and was known to be mischievous at times. He was an avid NASCAR fan.  Storm chasing was another hobby he enjoyed.

On May 25, 2020, Brad passed away at Welsey Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 57 years.  He was preceded in death by his father, Bobby, and one brother, Brian.

Brad will be deeply missed and forever in the hearts of his wife, Secret; mother, Pat Graves and husband, Ray; daughters: Tia Bent and husband, Mitch, Heather Hamm and husband, Nathan, Ashley Imel, Joy Barry, and Robbyn Imel; sisters: Terry Marr and husband, JW, Cyndi Ireland and husband, Jim, and Linda Zimmerman and husband, Verl; 3 grandchildren:  Juju, Bryant, and Duke; his in-laws, the Campbell family; several nieces and nephews; his Coop and County families; and a host of friends.

Friends may sign the guest book from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Thursday at Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Anthony.  Cremation has taken place.

The family will plan a celebration of life for Brad at a later date.  A private family service will be held at this time.

Memorials in memory of Brad may be made to the Brad Imel Memorial Fund and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
