Bobby Roland Warner was born October 15, 1938 in Harper County, Kansas, the youngest son of Glen William and Bessie (Shroyer) Warner.  The family lived on a farm near Crisfield.  He often reminisced about riding a pony to the country grade school he attended and how he enjoyed trips to the Shroyer homestead to play with his cousins.  He graduated from Hazelton High School in 1956, where he enjoyed basketball and softball.  He furthered his education at Pratt Community College where he also participated in basketball.

Bob married Virginia Belle Black on August 14, 1960 and this union was blessed with two children: Teresa and Troy.  After living various places, including the Black homestead, Bob was able to purchase the Tucker homestead in 1966 where he remained the rest of his life.

Bob was all about his family, focusing on providing for and supporting his children and grandchildren in all their activities, organizations, and life events.  He loved farming but always had a day job to keep the farm going.  He worked in construction, at Co-ops, for the county, and various other jobs.

After retiring he filled his days visiting with his buddies at the coffee shop and co-op. His favorite pastime was making peanut clusters and baked goods to share with employees at various businesses.  He always looked forward to summer-time and attending the Harper County Fair and the Attica Rodeo.  He enjoyed many rodeos, especially his trip to Frontier Days in Cheyenne with his cousin Larry.

On March 16, 2025, Bob passed away at Welsey Medical Center in Wichita, Kansas at the age of 86.  He was preceded in death by his parents and siblings:  Glenda Catherwood, Arlene Poston, Lee Warner, and Marvin Warner.

Bob will be deeply missed by his children:  Teresa Tomlin and husband, Tom of Hazelton, Kansas and Troy Warner of Mocksville, North Carolina; sister, Sherrie Eaton and husband, Jim of Anthony; four grandchildren:  Rebecca (Nathan) Kohls, Juli (Matt) Mahieu, Liza Warner and fiancé, Colby Howe, and Sam Warner; 2 great-grandchildren: Connor and Aidan Kohls with the third baby boy on the way; sisters-in-law, Gwen Warner and Sharon Warner; several nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Anthony.  Friends may sign the register from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
