William Guy "Bill" Cromwell, 72, passed away January 18, 2019 at Anthony Medical Center.

Bill was born December 28, 1946 in Sidney, Nebraska, son of Jay and Geneva (Benish) Cromwell. He grew up in Chappell, Nebraska, graduating from Chappell High School with the Class of 1965.

Following high school, Bill served honorably in the United States Navy on the USS Portfield as a radio operator during the Vietnam War.

On November 12, 1967, Bill was united in marriage with Jeanette Miller in Casper, Wyoming. This union was blessed with two children: Lisa and Scott.

Throughout the years, they made their home in Los Angeles, California; Carlsbad, New Mexico; and Amarillo, Texas, before moving to the family land in Oklahoma near Wakita in 1984.

Bill's last 30 years of his working career was his most enjoyable job, working for MARC as a chemical salesman.

After retiring, Bill enjoyed spending time fishing at the pond on his ranch and playing pool in his game room. He always enjoyed a good game of golf with his buddies in previous years.

Bill was preceded in death by his father, Jay.

He will be deeply missed by his mother, Geneva Cromwell; wife, Jeanette; daughter, Lisa Berry and husband, Karl; son, Scott Cromwell; 2 grandchildren: Megan Boniciolli and husband, Matt and Nicholas Berry; his brother, Allen Cromwell and wife, Carol; and a host of other relatives and many friends.

Memorial service will be held 2:00 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2019 at the United Methodist Church in Wakita, Oklahoma with Reverend Laura Glover officiating. Friends may register 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Anthony.

Memorials in memory of Bill may be made to the Wakita Community Health Center and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
