Bernice Norma Brack was born May 18, 1926 in Damar, Kansas to Alphonse and Rosalie (Desmarteau) Morin. She passed away on June 8, 2017 in Harper, Kansas at the age of 91 years and 21 days.
Bernice married Orville Louis Brack in Damar on September 7, 1957. They were blessed with three children: Randall, Michele, and Michael. Bernice was a school teacher for many years. After retiring from Scott City USD 466, the family moved to Harper and Bernice continued to work as a substitute teacher for Harper Elementary.
Preceding her in death are her parents and many of her brothers and sisters. She is survived by her husband, Orville of Harper; son, Randall Brack of Arlington, Virginia; daughter, Michele Donoho and husband, Dee of Harper; son, Michael Brack of Tucson, Arizona; sister, Juanita Wald of Oregon; granddaughter, Brande Vogele and husband, Joshua of Harper; great-grandchildren, Rustin Denton and Zander Vogele; other relatives and many friends.
Friends may register and view from 1:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on Sunday at the funeral home.
Funeral Mass is at 11:00 a.m. Monday, June 12, 2017 at the St. Patrick Catholic Church, Harper, of the St. Joan of Arc Parish Community with Father Michael Peltzer officiating. Interment will follow at the Harper Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to the Bernice Brack Memorial Scholarship (a college scholarship for aspiring young teachers) and may be sent in care of the funeral home.
