B Jay Vincent was born to Beth and Jim Vincent in Leoti, Kansas, on January 21, 1976. He spent his early youth in Shallow Water with his beloved Shetland pony, Tail. He was often seen wandering through the town with his pony, looking for their next adventure.

He was a natural athlete and loved the thrill of competition. Throughout his youth, he excelled in sports, particularly in baseball and wrestling, leaving a lasting impression on teammates and coaches alike with his skill and determination.

In addition to his athletic prowess, BJay possessed a rare gift- a beautiful voice that captivated all who heard it. He graduated from Scott Community High School in 1994.

BJay never met a stranger. People were drawn to his lively personality, beautiful smile, and contagious laughter. Always the life of the party, he was happiest when he was with others.

BJay was a proud parent of Gavin, Luke, Calista, and Brooklyn. He shared his passion for sports and instilled in them the values of hard work and perseverance. He loved spending his weekends coaching the boys and girls in wrestling and softball.

As a wrestling coach for Chaparral Kids Wrestling Club, BJay profoundly impacted countless young athletes, teaching them the sport's techniques, and imparting valuable life lessons. His dedication to his students and his unwavering support earned him the admiration and respect of the wrestling community.

In October 2020, he married Angela Prieto, the love of his life. In their short years of marriage, they enjoyed driving out to the lake with their dog Roscoe for long sunset walks and 4 a.m. weight-lifting sessions. Angela cherishes the silly songs he sang as he made them up and the impromptu moments he would take her hand and dance with her in the kitchen.

BJay will be deeply missed by his family, friends, and all who knew him. We honor his legacy through love, peace, perseverance, and sportsmanship,

He is survived by his wife, Angela; children: Gavin Vincent of Park City, Kentucky; Luke Farzi of Anthony, Kansas; Calista Vincent of Hays, Kansas; and Brooklyn Vincent of Anthony, Kansas; grandchildren include Luella and Felix Farzi of Anthony, Kansas; parents: Beth and Jim Vincent of Scott City, Kansas; sister Natasha Wiese (Brandon) and daughter Laura of Dallas, Texas; and brother Drew Vincent of Dallas, Texas; stepchildren include: Marrissa Eickleberry and children Beckett, Lennox, & Acelynn of Anthony, Kansas, and Erik Prieto of Duncan, Oklahoma.

He is preceded in death by his half-sister, Mandy Smith.

A memorial service to celebrate BJay's life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Friday, May 17, 2024, at First Christian Church 701 Main Street, Scott City, Kansas, with Steve Paine presiding.
