They made their home on their farm 11 miles east of Anthony until February 1945 when her father, Oran, was killed in an accident. They then moved into Anthony where Audrey started school and continued all 12 years in the Anthony schools. In February 1946, her mother married Oran's brother Warner. In 1984 after her divorce, Audrey went to work at Anthony Rest Home as nurse aid, took her schooling and became a medication aide. After Susan and Patti graduated High School, the three moved to Wichita where Susan went to Business school, then Patti went to Dodge City to college.
