Annette Osborne was born on September 19, 1935 in Schulte, Kansas to Lawrence and Anna (Becker) Seiwert. She was united in marriage with Walter Howard Osborne on September 14, 1957 at the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Ost, Kansas. They were blessed with three children: Kim, Keith, and Kevin. Howard passed away on September 15, 2007.
In October 1956 Annette received her nursing diploma at St. Francis School of Nursing in Wichita, Kansas. She worked for 2 years at St Francis Hospital in Wichita, Kansas. After marriage, she worked at the Harper Hospital. When she retired from nursing, she worked at various clothing stores in Harper, Kansas. In 1989 she began her second career as a Postmaster at Danville, Kansas Post Office and then retired in 2005 as Postmaster at Murdock, Kansas.
She was very involved in all aspects of the church. Having a strong faith in God, she displayed this by her many volunteer hours at the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Danville. She will be greatly missed by all.
Annette passed away at the Anthony Community Care Center on February 7, 2022. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Howard Osborne; sisters-in-law: Jean Marie Seiwert, Mary Katherine Baugh, and Shirley Seibert; brother-in-law, Ralph Osborne; and nieces, Kelli Archer and Karen Seibert. Annette is survived by her children: Kim Osborne of Overland Park, Kansas, Keith Osborne and his wife April of Wichita, Kansas and Kevin Osborne of Harper, Kansas; grandchildren: Meredith Osborne, Miles Osborne, Erin Coen (Justin) and Quinn Osborne; brother, Lawrence "Blackie" Seiwert Jr of Garden Plain, Kansas; other friends and relatives.
Private family services have been arranged.
Friends may register from 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Anthony Community Care Center and can be sent in care of Prairie Rose Funeral Homes, 613 W 14th St ~ Harper, Kansas 67058
