Obituary

Anna Marie Oliver Kiser was born on July 24, 1919 on the farm at Attica, Kansas to William and Bessie (Hinkle) Harrel.  After a long a full life, and still living at home, she passed away on December 17, 2020 at the age of 101 years.

Preceding Anna in death are her parents, Will and Bessie Harrel; husbands, Murray Oliver of 35years and Wayne Kiser of 35 years; brothers Milton and Francis Harrel; sisters, Ruth McGraw and Lydia Camden; and step-son, John Kiser.  She is survived by her son, Douglas Oliver (Pauline); daughters, Frances Ward and Judy Fisher; step-son, Jerry Kiser, step-daughter, Cindy Mitchell; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; other relatives and friends.

Anna was an active participant in the Farming Operation until retirement, at which time she and husband, Wayne moved to town.  Anna was proud to be a 75-year member of the Order of Eastern Star and she and Murray were among the original members of the Attica Saddle Club.  She loved to dance, was a member of a pitch club for many years, and was a founding member of the 20 & 4 Club.  Anna would never divulge what 20 & 4 stood for.  She and Wayne were also active members of the Harper County Shrine.  Anna was a member of the Attica Christian Church.

Visitation is 9:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. Monday with family present from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Prairie Rose Funeral Home in Harper.

Graveside Service is 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, December 22, 2020 at the Attica Cemetery with Pastor Royce Vogt officiating.  The video of the service will then be available here on Anna's obituary page.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Attica Christian Church or Shriners Hospital for Children and can be sent in care of the funeral home.
