Obituary

At 1:00 p.m. on June 29, 2009, Andrew Scott Hendrick and Sarah Beth (Young) Hendrick, heard the most beautiful cry when their baby girl, Angel May Hendrick, made her appearance into the world at Wellington, Kansas.  Upon her arrival home to Anthony, she was instantly spoiled by her older brothers and sisters, who knew she was going to be an amazing little sister.  She developed her sassy, bold attitude at a young age and quickly grew into the most loving and caring girl anyone could ever meet.

May May, as many called her, attended preschool at Bridges to Learning in Harper, Kindergarten at Anthony Elementary and 1st through 5th grade at Medford.  This past year she began track.  Trying the different events, shot put became her favorite.

May was a truly loving, sweet, kind, funny girl with a heart of gold.  Growing up in Manchester, she spent countless hours on her bike riding the streets, inviting other town kids to join her, and stopping to visit with her neighbors.  Many looked forward to the stories she liked to tell.  Her charisma brought a smile to all.  Spending weekends and summers on the farm, camping trips, and horses were some of her favorite things.  She was a book worm who loved reading, especially Harry Potter and The Black Stallion.  One thing that always fascinated her was the moon.  She had a moon light in her bedroom as a baby and her entire life she has been obsessed with the beautiful moon.

May attended the Revolution Fellowship Church.  She went to church camp for the first time this past summer, where she had so much fun! They decorated her cabin and threw her a birthday party, and she could not stop talking about it.  It was an amazing experience for her.

On August 6, 2021, Angel May's time with us here on earth ended far too soon.  She's united in Heaven with her oldest sister, Angel Davis, and her grandmother, Clara Young.

Angel May was so loved by many.  She will remain forever in the hearts and memories of her parents:  Andy Hendrick (Bridgette) and Sarah Bruey (Jarod); siblings:  Jordan, Brandon, Dylan, Alexis, and Amber; 8 step-siblings; grandparents: Beverly and Richard Hendrick, and George and Karen Young; step-grandparents:  Dean and Janice Bruey and Debbie Hunt; step-great-grandma, Madge Mayo; numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins; her classmates, teachers, and bus drivers; and many friends.

Angel, May, May May, Mable, Meg, however one knew you, one loved you!  You will be forever missed.

Celebration of Life will be held 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 12, 2021 at the Revolution Fellowship Church in Anthony, Kansas with Pastor Kent Olds officiating.  A private burial will be held at Rosedale Cemetery, southwest of Manchester, Oklahoma.
