Andrew Louis Yunker was born on December 10th, 2003, to Dennis and Fawna Yunker; and passed from this life on December 19th, 2024. Andrew was a member of St. Mary's Assumption Catholic Church in Wakita. He graduated from Medford High School in 2022 and earned a degree with honors from OSUIT in diesel mechanics.

From an early age, Andrew took a great interest in all things mechanical, if it involved engines, transmissions, or iron, he was fascinated by it. He grew up in a hardworking household helping his dad roof houses at the age of seven. His hard work ethic was known and admired by all who knew him, especially his employers. Andrew wore many hats figuratively and literally. He worked for Yunker Roofing & Construction, Dreese farms, Conrady farms, Kretchmar distributing Inc., O'Neil Farms, Woods Harvesting, Independent Diesel and P&K John Deere.

He had a love for agriculture and had a distinguished career in the FFA. Andrew received his Oklahoma FFA Degree as well as the American Farmer Degree from the National FFA. He began showing goats at the early age of five and won many awards. He had a love for sports, especially baseball. He played baseball for Coach Hess all the way from little league throughout high school. Andrew enjoyed watching both Oklahoma & Oklahoma State football, attending games in person as his schedule allowed. He had a special love of music, particularly of Red Dirt, especially Koe Wetzel. Andrew had a keen wit and always had a quick joke at the ready. Andrew knew the true meaning of friendship and shared it wholeheartedly.

Andrew is preceded in death by his father, Dennis Yunker; brother, Lawrence Yunker; grandparents, Lawrence and Louise Yunker, and Robert Miller.

Andrew will be deeply missed by his mother, Fawna Yunker and husband, Terry Sanders; Godparents, Mark and Jeanne Brady; brother, Matthew Yunker and wife, Karly; sister, Kathryn and husband, Ian Hampton; grandmother, Betty Garvie; nephews, John Blake Hampton and Britton Yunker; niece, Briley Yunker; best friend, Colton Conrady; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and a legion of friends from all over the United States.

Rosary will be held 6:30 p.m. Friday, January 3, 2025 and Mass of Christian Burial 10:00 a.m. Saturday, January 4, 2025, both at St. Mary's Assumption Catholic Church in Wakita, Oklahoma.
